Seeking Advice on Master's vs Job Search

Hi everyone,

A bit about me: I'm a 25-year-old female with a CTC of 4.5 LPA and around 2 years of experience. I was forced to resign from my first company, and currently, I don't have any job offers. Job hunting has been very challenging for me.

Due to my negative first experience, I'm scared and skeptical about joining another company. Additionally, I don't expect a significant salary hike with a switch right now.

I seek advice on pursuing a master's degree. Should I prepare for it? Is it worth it? Will it lead to a better package? I'm really confused between pursuing a master's and looking for another job. Any help, advice, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

On long term, masters from best college gives better opportunities. But preparing for masters (gate, cat) needs lot of persistence, patience.

My details:Currently I am preparing for gate with more 10 years experience. It was my dream to do masters in 20s, since there were some financial constraints that time, I am preparing now.

Is it better to do MBA or M.tech?

That depends on the individual and their perspective on m.tech or mba. For me, its M.tech, even if I get less salary compared to mba, i am still okay for it. I will get job satisfaction on technical side. For others, it may be different.

Whichever the path, it's worth only if you get top institutions (iit, iim etc.).

Upskill, Going to the masters is a waste of money unless you are doing it from an elite level institute(BITS,IIT etc).
