Should I switch?

Graduated in 2021 have 2 yoe working in a b2b unicorn as sde-1, earning 20lpa fixed no esops. I made one switch last year. But now I realised I was learning more in my previous product company. Here most of the work is boring like writing repeated sql queries minor bug fixes and very little coding.

Is 20lpa low as per industry standards for 2 yoe in bengaluru ?

Current market is not good for high paying job switches, I'd use this time to learn something new.

Could you give some eg like what to learn? I was thinking of doing MS from usa but bcz of this recession I postponed and also not sure if taking a huge loan for MS would be worth it.

I'd work on creating my own projects, or contribute to open source ml projects or create a good kaggle portfolio by participating in competitions.

I'd also explore high demand tech skills like pyspark, airflow from YouTube/udemy.

Another thing i would do is take up freelance projects on upwork. This way I'll learn and earn.

Considering the inflation in india it looks less now.

20 LPA at 2 yoe isn’t low, but it isn’t particularly good either. About average I’d say for product based companies
