What do companies consider as a gap for 2-3 months bad?
I got laid off and I have been getting rejected in my interviews a lot and want to take some time to work on my skills, is it a bad decision? My YOE is 3 years as a SWE
I have resigned from my current job and currently serving notice period..( resgined coz i had a very bad project and .. also one health issue). I wanted to take 3 month gap for upskilling ..doing DSA and some other skills.. ( planning to apply for the jobs from month 2).. is my idea a good.. or should i drop that idea of gap ..??..will that gap affect my future jobs?.. or will i get jobs after that gap?
It's not going to be easy. The market is rough. I have a decent resume, and I left in June due to personal reasons. But the calls are far and few. My advice to you is to reach out to as many people as you can for referrals in advance. If you have enough savings, you should be okay.
