TCS rehire policy

My question is from TCS HR and employees: does TCS hire their ex-employees? I have heard that they do not rehire the people who have resigned in the past. I worked with TCS back in 2017; it was my first job right after college. I was there for a little over 1 year. I have been working in my current company for the last 5 years. Now, I am thinking about switching, and I was wondering if I should get in touch with my cohort from TCS again. I would not apply if there is any such policy. Please let me know if I should go ahead with TCS or not.

Based on my experience, I would like to offer some feedback on the question of whether TCS hires its ex-employees. I was a part of TCS 3 years before. I have been curious about whether TCS has a formal policy regarding re-employment, and I’ve done some research and spoken to ex colleagues.

From what I’ve gathered, TCS does not have a strict no rehire policy in place for ex employees. However, many factors influence whether they will rehire a former employee, including the reasons for resignation, the individual's performance record, and whether they left on good terms. For example, if someone leaves for valid personal or professional reasons, there is still a chance of rejoining the company. On the other hand, if the employee was under negative reasons, it could affect the eligibility to be rehired.

If you've spent five years with another company, your skills and experiences have likely evolved significantly since your time at TCS. In your situation, reaching out to your former team at TCS might be a smart move to get a clearer understanding of how the TCS rehire policy works in practice. If the reasons for your leaving were not troubling, there’s no harm in applying or at least making informal inquiries through your network.

In conclusion, I would recommend getting in touch with TCS. Each situation is unique, and if you left on good terms, the door might still be open for you.

From my personal experience, TCS has always maintained a strong reputation for its work culture, opportunities, and overall employee satisfaction. However, the question of whether TCS rehires ex-employees, also known as "boomerang employees," is a bit quiet.

My first job out of college was at TCS, where I worked for more than a year back in 2017. On TCS's rehire policy, I heard differing views during my stay. Rehiring former employees is difficult at TCS, according to several coworkers, particularly for those who left by their own choice. Rather than bringing back old employees, it was believed that they wanted to hire new employees with different outside experiences.

I've been at my present company for the last five years, but ever since I moved on, I've been wondering whether I could return to TCS as I think about switching jobs. The idea that TCS is strict when it comes to rehiring appears to have some validity, based on the discussions I've had and the recent studies I've done. The TCS rehire policy might not officially restrict former employees from rejoining, but there could be internal patterns against it.

If you're thinking of reconnecting with TCS, I would recommend getting in touch with someone from HR or a trusted colleague who can provide clarity on the current TCS rehire policy. Things may have changed since my time there, but I wouldn’t apply if such a policy still exists. Reaching out to your former team might give you a better idea of your chances.

In the market of IT companies, TCS is a big name. Their IT services and consulting solutions are known to everyone. Because they work with top-notch clients, IT aspirants want to work here. The hiring process of TCS is very simple. You have to see their career page, find a role that aligns with your skills and apply. Then after the interview and assessment round, if they find you fit for the role, HR will send you the offer letter. If you’ve been a former employee at TCS you can reapply as well.

Generally, if you’ve resigned from TCS recently, you need to wait for a period of 6 months to reapply. Because it has been more than 6 years since you left TCS, you can reapply for a job role that fits your skills. However, it won’t guarantee rejoining the workforce. If you meet the job role requirements and state relevant reasons for leaving your previous company they can hire you. Not to mention, if you left TCS on good terms, then they might consider you. But, in any case, you have to be prepared for the interview and focus on the assessment (if they provide any).

I'm not from TCS but recently I got a call from TCS HR where I had asked him the same question to which he mentioned that you can join back later only if you have worked for 10yrs earlier at TCS.

Is TCS Rehiring Ex-Employees?

I recently attended an interview with TCS and was wondering if they are actively rehiring ex-employees. Has anyone been through the rehiring process or knows how things work? Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences! 😊
