The company had more than 6 layoffs in the past 10 months. Right from office boys to the company COO was affected by the layoff. The recent layoff happened 10 days back, where the company didn't pay their employees a single dime and instead gave them their value less esops to keep their mouth shut. The company is being run by 2 arrogant adamant co-founders along with their 10 other close ally so called the CORE team. The employees were on 30% salary cut since 10 months in the name of deffered and were promised that everyone would get it back with 8% interest on the cut. In every layoff employees were asked to leave within a day or two without even paying them for their notice period. Nobody was vocal about it as the founders had threatened some ex employees that they would make their life miserable and they will find it difficult to get jobs anywhere in future.
If we actually think about it, this is even worse than Byjuās. No severance, long-standing pay cuts, and direct/indirect threats.
Dukaan deserves to die.
They spent most of their funding amount on the big shot parties, weekend parties, office parties, CEO's weddings and what not. Even his Mercedes, Ducati Bike, Apartments payments where on office expenses. They just don't deserve a die, they need to experience what their employees went through and suffered post layoffs.
Is it a verified info ??
Yes
Anyone who stayed back believing thier 8% promise deserves to be fired.
ok.. you are right, Common middle class hard working people. Dont deserve this. If any fresher who joined this company, doesn't deserve this. Its just bad luck for them. But experienced people who stayed for 10 months believing the nonsense that the management fed them, what were they thinking?
Well, got to know from some people that Dukaan copied the idea from another company who had given them to work on the project. They stole it and spun off. If this is true then, karma has paid backā¦.
Yes. They copied from khatabook
Yes it's khatabook
Honestly speaking their product is not that good that they brag on Twitter. I have lot relatives who were using Dukaan that their small business, they switched to Shopify coz shitty experience and customer support. But they think they are pioneers of technology. Bro STFU no one cared you latency shit if you can't do basic. Also stop saying you're are better than Shopify, you will never ever become even close to them
True value is when their customers mention theyāre better than Shopify. Never seen that even once. Its always their CTO boasting about 10ms faster than Shopify!
It was done to create a buzz. His claims had no base. They were comparing oranges with apples. People on Twitter believed it as majority didnāt understand tech.
This company is a fraud with highly incompetent founders. Will be forced to shut shop in 1-2 years. With such founders at the top, everyone should preemptively resign.
Their credentials look crap man....very surprised to see them even build something up ..no wonder covid 19 helped idiots raise big amounts of money, only to siphon it off with a poor product and LinkedIn brand building:)
The ex employees should have been more vocal about it .. whatās the worse they can do .. they have absolutely no power over other peopleās career and if they did they wouldnāt be in the miserable state they are itās just sad that people believed this and didnāt speak up . People need a reality check before believing all the corporate speak.
Background checks are flagged only if you have a criminal case and manager contact number doesnāt need to be your actual manager you can give anyone from you team as contact for verification and HR can just confirm your employment nothing else. Even if thereās some issue background check companies will always reach out to you before taking a decision
Watched a Podcast with both the founders. Was super clear they were arrogant a**holes. That culture deserves to die

No idea about the full extent of layoffs, seems like either a PR play to tackle leaked layoff news or doing the whole airbnb style 'helping employee...
Came across tweet guy asking for frontend job to Dukaanās CTO who fired his support and tech team just last month, and here is this guy and many others asking him for Job.
Ecommerce platform Dukaan has just laid off 60 people. Sudden move on Monday.
Is the platform struggling to get users and monetise? so much funding they have.
