Amazon is famous for this. Nothing new
Its a problem with Indian Labour Laws. This is the cleanest way to get folks to exit. Also gives people enough runway to hunt for a new role = PIP + Notice period.
We don't understand employment in the country and laws were crafted for the classic manufacturing setup. Thence industrial revolution orientation.
Here we are 2 revolutions later and stuck with laws built for 9 to 6 work.
