Thinking of build my own startup. Have questions?

I've a great idea and it's validated after talking to more than 50 founders/head of sales.

Questions -

  1. What's the process of getting a domain/and checking if the domain/product name is not a brand name globally anywhere?

  2. Wrt raising funding, any founders here who can throw some light on how much salaries you used to take? I am not very inclined towards bootstrapping rn.

  3. What were the challenges wrt starting your website, getting it validated by running ads etc? Maybe some D2C founders can help me out here.

  4. What tools did you use for your first MVP launch?

Thanks

  1. Buy a domain, check global trademarks. Simple. But remember, a fancy name won't sell a lousy product.

  2. Salary? You're a founder, not an employee. Stop thinking like one. Money comes after sweat and blood.

  3. Challenges? Plenty. But if you're scared of a few ads and website glitches, entrepreneurship isn't your game.

  4. Tools? Use your brain. That's the best tool. MVP isn't about fancy software, it's about solving problems.

  1. Go to any domain name registrar like GoDaddy or namecheap. Search for a domain you like. It's as easy as buying anything on Amazon.

Look up trademark search on google. You'll find many sites with the trademark database. Put in your brand name and check if your name is already taken.

I can't believe you're asking this after having done the hardest part.

Tell us more about how you validated your idea.

  1. In my current startup also this was all done, but after being in market for a year they got a legal notice from a company whose one of the product had the similar name. My CEO is a billionaire yet he had to put up on this for a good few months, hence asking. I did these exercises already but just wanted some second opinions.

  2. I have a good network of founders and have worked in few early stage startups as a PM. Plain LinkedIn DM for a 15 minutes chat and user research and few direct questions.

Created an excel on this and found that few of my hypothesis is getting validated. And business model also seems to be okay. Now just need to execute and see if it's the reality

I'm working on a fintech B2C idea and need some advice. It's quite a complex idea, in a regulated industry (of course). I'm fairly good at developing apps (self taught web and mobile app dev) and currently working alone on this. I'm plan...
