Using LinkedIn at work

Got a mail from my manager to stop using LinkedIn anywhere at work. Even though we can use LinkedIn for purposes other than searching for different jobs, but these people are getting too insecure because people are leaving left right and center.

What are your guys thoughts?

He must be an intelligent guy, offering you multimillion-dollar advice for free. I'd say no one should use that bullshit app for any reason. Even TikTok is better than LinkedIn; at least they label it as an entertainment app and not trying to mislead user.

Tell him you'll do it but first he needs to give you '5 Reasons to stop using LinkedIn at work"

Write a post on LinkedIn on how to use LinkedIn at work.

Tell him you stopped using it and then tag him in a post during office hours. If he calls you up you tell him not to use LinkedIn during office hours.

Jokes aside, HR's are petty about this stuff and can make sure your performance review is impacted due to this.

If you don't care about the job/promotion, hell the answers above will be fun to see happen 😜

I always have LinkedIn opened in one tab . mostly I chat with my friends who are in other companies. or casually browsing jobs etc.

I've seen many of my colleagues have LinkedIn job portal opened in one tab and they're presenting something to manager or skip level. no one bothered.
