What about Remote startups?

Does anyone here work at any remote startups that are based out of India? How is the work culture? How is the pay? Do we actually get paid in dollars? What's career growth?

Yes, I've worked with Polygon and now with 5ire
For paid in INR at Polygon and now in crypto
Pay is decent, really depends on what you bring to the company, like any other startup
Work culture is also like any other startup, really depends on the team you're a part of. At 5ire we're still only starting out, so have to hash out a lot of things like policies and all. My HR is quite keen on helping me increase my skill set and learn more so I'm happy here

I've also heard great things about Oyster, Luno (before the recent layoffs) and other remote startups

Personally, I'm inclined towards remote organisations as I have a lot of flexibility with my work and can be my productive best I also get to work with a global team and don't have to suffer the monotony of going to the same office and seeing the same bunch of people everyday over and over again

Compensation at international remote startups

Does any one work for startup’s which are not based in India? What should be the ideal compensation expectation in such cases. Is it fair to ask for a salary equivalent to that of an US software dev if the startup is based in the US?
