Masai was the only one left that had pay after placement. Scaler and Newton both moved away from it.

From a demand perspective, pay after placement is super useful. Challenge is solving the funnel from admits to acceptance to graduating students. Thats what throws off the economics.

Plus the cost of financing, it used to be 25% which is borne by Masai.

Students dont trust courses very easily unless there is a way to make the money back through a job.

Just saw that. Thanks for flagging. That company had some real shady student practices. Indian counterparts have not done such things but struggled to place students and as a result created issues for students.

30% Salary Cuts at Unacademy

Graphy has forced a 30% salary cut on each employee to achieve profitability this year. This cut will be applicable from February onwards until 7-8 months.

Want to know about the culture at Newton school

My friend has a job offer at a senior level at Newton school, but we are a bit skeptical about the culture at institutions like these. Can anyone who is a current or ex employee tell about their culture and about their founders?
