What is the current market standard (in terms of LPA) for 7+ years of experienced Software developer

I have been working in my organisation for the past 5 years (Total 7.5 YOE) and it’s a product based company located in Bangalore, India. It is a telecom related application developing company and the main focus of African continent countries. My Domain developing payment related applications. (Recharge, Bill payment and dealer management…etc)

I’m specialized in developing backend applications with springboot, microservices, Docker/kubernetes

Until now, 3 successful projects have been delivered. Last year was promoted as Technical lead, and currently handling 3 delivered project’s support and working for 2 new projects in parallel.

Currently I’m getting 22 LPA and waiting for the next appraisal which has been delayed for 1 year.

I feel like, I’m stuck with this organisation even though my working domain is good according to me.

So what is the market standard for my role and am I getting enough salary or not? and if I start my job hunt, will I find any relevant job?

actually I started to doubt my LPA after reading some relevant posts. Now I'm in a dilemma,
I got a good role now but the work load is unimaginable, (Morning 9- night 8) working. sometimes working on late nights to meet the time difference between countries. I can't ask the salary package with my current employer what you've mentioned.
So my only option is to search for a new company?

Bro I just go with my instincts, If I feel that I am not getting enough even after putting full effort and delivering quality work, then that thought will irritate u for very long unless u r helpless. Just dropping this msg coz I really think u can get better package than this, I think u should think it thoroughly. Best of luck bro.

Let's answer this realistically.

  1. Switching from service based to product based would be difficult. Although not impossible. You want top pay, you need to either have following -
  2. Glowing github profile
  3. Good dsa, lld, hld
  4. behavioral skills

Also, your yoe is irrelevant to what you would get as pay. People consider your impact. You want more money, you need to be leveled higher. Say SDE2, 3 etc.

Every level has some previous requirements and your profile needs to showcase larger impacts to be considered for them.

So, there's no right answer on how much you can get paid. You would be the right person to answer that and assess yourself.

Tldr - Should you move out regardless if the work is too much? Absolutely! Should you expect 50LPA just because you are 7yoe, probably not!
