I hope to save 5 crores by 55 and retire, and then travel full-time around the world.

Currently I'm 28, my total savings + investment is around 2 cr.

Doing SIP of 80k monthly, so even at modest 13% return it would help me accumulating 3 cr in 12 hours. Other than that I do some lump sum investing in Stocks/FDs/Bonds.

Haven't bought house yet but planning to do so in next 2 years.

Not calculating any ancestral property. Also, not factoring increase in TC because my expenses would also increase with time.

Not retire per se but I plan to spend more liberally after hitting 5 crores in NW.

10 crores of NW in current rupees is good enough to retire in my opinion.

Hope to hit 5 crores my 33 and 10 crores by 37

Yes, which I don’t have now.
But will buy one close to retirement. A 1-2 bhk will be good enough.

Lol, who told you that? No, it's not. I have multiple close friends who saved up a 5-10 crores from their salary and stock options, and retired in their 40s. Now they just read books and watch TV all day, and travel, and play music and go to concerts etc. Just the annual interest from their savings is enough to fund their life, while their principal amount continues to sit untouched, all while doing zero work now.

By 45 with a networth of 20-30 crores. For context : current networth 2 crores. Net worth back in 2020 : Negative 8 lacs (college debt)

  • Negative generational wealth (supporting both parents alone. Single child)

Where do you want this land?

MagicalHamster

Near to a village home and do organic farming. More than enough to have a peaceful life. With 1Cr the interest is 2.7 lakhs per month.
