What should I look for when buying a second hand car?

I want to buy a second hand hatchback. This will be my first car and I’ve zeroed in on Tata or Hyundai models. Will most likely use Spinny to buy the car. What should I lookout for when making a decision? I already plan to get the newest model available in my budget (6 lakhs).
