What skill should I start working on?

I am a 2nd year engineering student about to enter my third year, and I am still unsure of which skill to focus on to secure a job. I have a good grasp of DSA and was considering starting web development, but I am concerned about the high competition in that field. Could anyone suggest any emerging skills that are expected to be in high demand in the future ?

It's better to choose a domain that would be better for you and suits your interests as well. But please do remember this one point when you enter into campus placements or joining an IT firm. Please do not join an service based MNC like TCS or Infosys through placements. The thing is, in such big companies, as a fresher, it's hard to get a job profile of your choice. They will be randomly putting you in any project which has a vacancy for fresher. It would be developer, tester, or support.. anything. It doesn't matter on which domain they have trained you. . . So, my opinion (remember this, it's just an opinion, not an advice....) is... Once you find your goal career path, do a research on companies who are hiring for that domain... And apply for the same. As I mentioned, it's just my opinion... Not an expert advice

I talked to a course consultant, she advised me to explore data science engineering based on my coding background.
