When's the best time to start applying for FAANG off-campus

I'm a pre-final year BTech student at a Tier 3 college. Obviously no FAANG companies are visiting and I wasn't sure when I should start applying for off-campus.

Also honestly does FAANG even hire freshers off-campus in 2024? Or is it just that the chances are very low.
