Got offers from IBM India and Sap Labs - both for backend Developers, Bangalore as location and around the same salary ranges. Which one will be less evil to join ?
There is definitely work life balance in SAP.. but it has become like any other IT company nowadays.. it WAS employee centric but I don’t feel it is anymore.
IBM also has layoffs and so does SAP..
In SAP, it depends on which product you work on.
Depending on the product, you might be working on very futuristic things.. while outside market is easily 3 to 4 years behind.
There are a lot of employee friendly policies also in SAP.
I am not sure about how it is in IBM.
Out of scope question : Can you please tell me how did you get the opportunity to sit for these companies? I am applying non stop but till I now have heard nothing. I also gave IBM OA to no response from them till now.

Yes you can call it a freshers role. I have done 11 months of internship at FourKites (if internship count as work exp)
Having worked in both , IBM India -1 yr , SAP -4 Y
SAP labs is the better choice and will take you much further in your overall career .. you will get better exposure, value addition to your resume
IBM has a better work life balance.... More life, less work.
SAP, has a good work life balance. Balanced in terms of work and life.
That said, SAP is an employee centric company which makes it a good place to stay.
So, IBM if you want to chill more and SAP if you want to work decently and have a good chill environment while working.
Go with SAP Labs don't look at IBM at all
