Why do people ask touristy questions to locals?

As a Delhiite, I don't even remember when I went to Qutub Minar or Red Fort Or shopping at Sarojini or Lajpat

How will I know which hotel is good or bad? I don't stay in hotels in my own city 🤦‍♀️

Totally! Asking a local about tourist spots is like asking a fish about scuba gear. We live here, not vacation here!

My take as local of some city, I feel people know the touristy as well as quirky things to do. Asking party not wanting to put efforts is what kills the vibe.

They can't be like: bro I'll there in xyz city for a week lmk what should I see and where should I visit.

I'm not a full fledged tour guide, can pitch in about safe/risky locality recommendations, places to eat, ways to commute but don't expect to get complete syllabus with points to cross.

Why does Bangalore suck so much?
