Tech fell because they replaced Prakash Ramachandran - CTO silently and bought Anil goel who then bought his amazon friends and then started THEY ( old folks who made 0 to 22 billion) vs US ( Anil and his oyo and his amazon friends). And clearly Anil and his oyo and his amazon friends bougth byjus from 22 billion $ to 3 Billion $. Tech ka majak bana diya inhone mil kar. For other departments i can’t commit but yes Tech i was a part of it for 6 years.
Byjus was pofitable before Covid . Multiple Reasons
Acquisitions that did not add any value wasted the money raised. For Eg - Acquisitions of WhitehatJr, Toppr etc was a waste of resources and management bandwidth.
Did not hire a CFO.
Over hiring.
Too many experiments and the same sales team used to sell all products resulting in cannibalisation

My colleague who was promoted 2 months back when he resigned they demoted him and put it on experience letter as previous designation. Such bullshit company deserve this. I am very happy. They really played with kids emotions. 300 crore package to Wolf Gupta kid 👏
