In my opinion, one should ask themselves WHY they want kids not why they DON'T want kids. Only upon a satisfactory answer to the former should they proceed. Having kids isn't a check mark on a To-Do list, it's creating a whole ass human being with its own life. If your answer is anything other than "for the joys of watching a tiny thing grow" and any thing in the vicinity of "I want my kid to do xyz" or "take care of me in old age" or "carry my name forward" nonsense, kindly do not have kids.

It isn't about the economy.
I find the whole concept of raising a living being who for the first 10 years is stupid and probably try to get itself killed if not watched over, then spend the next 10 years hating me coz teenagers listen to no one, and then end up growing to be something similar to me... ME? Like that sounds like the worst trade deal in the history of deals.
