Why Service/Consulting Companies is too pathetic
I heard from my many closed ones about too much negative things
There is no work life balance No good salary No work so layoff Unnecessary training pressure One negative client feedback - Fire alarm gets activated Leaves policy Poor Team
After so much of pathetic things why people are joining and working with them
Few Negative reviews Companies are EY LTI-UNMINDTREE Etc
"why people are joining and working with them"
-
Lack of choices, maybe due to economic reasons or college if they're a fresher
-
Might be incompetent in the field/skills for a product based company
After working in a startup for a year, an okayish service based company with good project is better for mental peace. You can always move ahead in career later but for a fresher it's quite good no matter what kind of college you're coming from
Why the hate for service cos. They are closing a demand supply gap that product cos cannot. some fu****g sense.
I could be oversimplifying this, but for most engineers coming from non-tier1 colleges and small towns, service companies are the gateway in the corporate world. It at least gives them a start. These companies are usually the mass recruiters who pick up 400-500 people from a batch of 800 students.
I agree they pay peanuts, to a point of exploitation. But they will always find willing students ready to work for peanuts because for some, these companies are a guaranteed ticket out of poverty. Not passing value judgement on either of the parties. It is just our social reality.
Many upskill over the years and move on to better roles, most likely in a product/startup companies or they go for higher studies and move on to a higher paying jobs.
