Do you prefer a village or a small town life ?

Guys, I am living in a remote part of Rajasthan and working remotely from there as a software engineer. For almost 12 years (for education purposes), I was away from home, but this recent switch gave me the opportunity to spend some time with my parents. While staying here in the village, I am thinking of contributing back to the village. I am thinking of starting weekly workshops where I would visit schools, interact with student, and help them be aware of technology, the internet, etc. Need your help in getting some more ideas about what can I cover in these workshops. Also, I would like to know ways you guys think of contributing back to society. May be not now, but I'm sure many people do think of doing something for others someday. I will be here for almost 1.5 years, so I want to make it count. (That is my plan, but things can change)

I got an offer recently with remote working. My company is from Bengaluru and I'm living in Bengaluru. The previous company also offered work from home and I worked from my home which is located in Bengaluru for 2 years straight. So, I'm planning to live for a month in my village. And I'm alone. In the scene my parents completely shifted to Bengaluru in 20 years back. Now I'm planning to stay in my village, Where I don't have any experience staying in a rural area. Any suggestions for rural work culture. Problems to look out for at first by work in my village.

I was suffering from 2-3 mild health issues in metro. (prolonged cold n cough, regular sneezing etc) Came home 🏡 in diwali and now extended wfh due to health gain. Living with parents and consuming clean air + food is helping improve my sleep quality as well ❤️‍🩹 (2h+ deep sleep) 8h continuous sleep. I did cost benifit analysis and have decided to work on a plan which will eventually help me settle down at my birthplace within 2-5y. synopsis -- Children's play under sun 🌞 and have group of 10 kids. They ain't worried about anything. Their happiness index > ceos. They don't know about masturbation till 10th or age 14 if they don't have a smartphone. My workplace is open and aqi is below 10. Strong peepal and banyan trees 🌴 even 100y old. When I feel stressed due to any reason I just go to see sunset near my place hardly 2km away. It's a stress buster with earbuds in and watching migrant birds crossing river. Ain't those birds more free and independent than us? Like they don't give a damn 🕊️ about future and enjoy the present. Very less car and almost 0 traffic ⛔. People still use bicycles and cycle repair shop>garages. Life is slow and peaceful. People go to sleep at 9-10pm and wake up at 5-6am. Life is too easy. Cost of a family with 2acre land is hardly 25k/m here. Sometimes I wonder why chase 2 lac/month sacrificing so much in a so called developed city. Society is ambivert. Pizza 🍕 🍔 burger biryani is trying to enter these areas. But I don't miss swiggy. Zeptonis redundant here. Most of the South Indians Prefer buying individual houses or building one. What do you prefer and why ?

Rant alert: Have you felt the same way? How many years of work ex after which you started feeling this way? Stability and money I’m grateful for. But I hate the constant comparison and competitiveness among peers/colleagues. Makes me want to quit and do a Teach for India fellowship. A little corporate detox. Wish I had become an athlete instead. I know it’s not an easy life, but It’s the kind of competitiveness I’m inclined towards. Not inclined towards the kind where you compete with people to please a company that will never care for you as a human. But people fail to recognise that, lose perspective, and lose themselves too. People have no class in this shitty world. If I have kids, they’re definitely becoming athletes and not entering this hellhole. Most ironically, I’m borderline considering an MBA to escape the corporate life for 2 years, but obviously I’m aware I will only get entrenched further in it due to the degree.

Was just curious how is life , traffic, work life , shared public spaces etc at your city ? Do you enjoy it there considering we became the most populated nation ?
