Where to keep my savings

I am planning to save some % of my salary every month and go on a trip at the end of the year. My plan is to save around 3k-5k every month apart from my usual monthly investments. I haven't planned anything yet so I am open to your suggestions.

Have published 10,000+ pieces of financial content in the mainstream media. 4. Wrote a best-selling book on money management. It was No. 1 on Amazon once upon a time. 5. Lately been appearing on TV regularly for personal finance discussions. 6. Saved like crazy through my 20s and 30s, brought two apartments; have an 8-figure net worth mostly thanks to my mutual fund investments. It's not much but it's hard-earned. 7. My unrealised aspiration is travel and I'm working on it now. No, I'm not selling anything. No commissions, no referral links, no finfluencing. What is your preferred approach for safe keeping your savings? How much would you allocate for emergency fund? How much would you allocate for investment (shares/mutual funds/ gold/ bonds)? How much would you allocate for dead assets (property/ land)?

Please suggest some short-term (6Months - 1 Year) investment options, other than FD with good returns.

Have a significant cash position right now. Currently, majority is tied up in Indian blue chips and index ETFs. I have a minority position in Fixed Income securities and currently building it up more as I suspect interest rates are likely to have plateaued at their peak.

Hi folks, We, as a family of two, roughly save 50-60% of our salaries every month. Amongst the savings, 95% goes to equity mutual funds (index). We don’t have any other hard asset and stay on rent in a tier 1 Indian city hardly without any EMI and planning to expand the family soon. I was wondering, 1. how are we doing in terms of personal finance, and, 2. what are the typical savings rate and equity (or other asset) investment allocation rate for others?

Where do you all save emergency funds and other savings for short term needs. Let's say if you wanna save some amount of your salary and don't want it in a bank, where would you put that money so it gets better returns than bank and it can be easily liquidated. Please suggest where you would put it and how much returns you may expect.
