Sharing my experience within risk consulting team at Deloitte Positive: - Good brand when I applied for B Schools - Generally decent peers of the same age, good friends - They helped with recalibrating my pay because it was lower than that of others at my age Negatives: - They Pay: of course, still ended up much behind other people from college, in the name of brand. - Extremely tough to grow within company post 2 years - Some partners are extremely abusive in all ways, poor culture depending on which case you get - The travel: especially to very remote places can be pretty taxing hope it helps to anyone who applies

I have offers from Deloitte India and KPMG India, considering the merger announcement at Deloitte, will it be wise to join Deloitte?

Been here for quite some time now and I have been by far the top performer in my team. Still I am making less money year over year because of crap hikes and inflation. The pathetic hike I get barely makes a dent in the mental trauma that this company is inflicting on me. Moreover, travelling for hours in the Metro is killing me on the inside. Like being squished between people and getting no seat while I am trying to just switch from Yellow to Magenta line will be the end of me. My life will be spent in this metro and that is so depressing ffs. My advice to others in Big 4 companies, don't stay at Deloitte for more than 2 years unless you can coast at senior management w/ good pay. Is this the way they treat you at your companies too?

Which one would you choose and why?

Context - Since Deloitte does not get a lot of projects, they bend over their knees in front of clients and do each and everything like literally peon, clerk jobs too if client asks them to. I was deployed at a client location 5 days a week and was not giving any specific work to do but was told "Jo client bole wo karna hai". Client was a 24 yr old kid earning 80% lesser than me. He used to hurl abuses in the office, on weekends and even behaved physically inappropriately at times. When I informed the manager, he was like " tumse client handle nahi hora". Even after raising it to HR, no action was taken and manager also got promotion inspite of being the one aware about everything and not stepping up. I was given way below appraisal than industry and company average and have been pushed aside by the company. Request help from the community to help me with any openings or jobs in product management role in your company for me to move out of this toxic environment

Which is the best company culture wise to join? Also which are some remote hiring companies too which hire from India. Great places to work list is shit, because it is paid or forced recognition.

I have seen so many posts, on Grapevine alone, of how people are being harrassed and traumatized in their companies. And honestly, reading all those posts and comments scare the hell out of me because I haven't been subjected to or witnessed anything like this. Let me share the experience I have had till now: I have ~2 YOE, and Capgemini is my first company. I know the pay isn't great, but that's the only thing I don't like about the company. The people I have met or worked with in the entirety of my time here, they are supportive, kind, and considerate. Every single one of them, including the managers/directors. They don't expect you to work late hours or on weekends, unless there are critical escalations/important deadlines. My manager gives out words of thanks and appreciation, even on the smallest of things (yes he talks strictly too, and usually I am at the wrong when this happens, nothing major though). I get all the support that I need. I don't have to worry about the work life balance. I have never had a single issue with a teammate, and most of them are seniors whom I work with. No big egos, no attitude, nothing. They help out whenever I reach out to them. And it is the same story on my client side as well. I have worked/interacted with both male and female leaders, and all I have ever seen among everyone is empathy, respect for everyone's work, and always ready to help nature. I understand that this is all just my experience, but my reason for writing this post is to share a positive experience and that there are still good people around here.
