Job hopping concerns!!

I wish to know the pros/cons of frequently switching jobs. I am in a dilemma, there are posts here and there that say don't switch frequently and then there are posts that nobody cares about frequent job switches, as you are a dev. Let's discuss ladies & gents✍️

Hi folks, are multiple job switches considered a red flag by MBA programs, especially those in the US? And say ISB in India? There are perfectly legitimate and imo valid reasons for said job switches.

I am a generalist having 3 year experience working in startups (Series B and seed funded). I am handling Product and Growth in soon Series A Start-up. But I'm thinking to switch. Need guidance is it a good time to switch job?

Will there be a bad impression on my resume ,if I switch 2 companies within 4 years (2yrs in 1st company,2yrs in current one).And if I'm planning to switch company now ,with this 4 yrs of experience. PS : There is level progression throughout this shifting process (Associate-> SDE1 -> SDE2)

I am a 2023 cs grad ,joined an mnc at 7 .44 base 12 CTC,worked there for an year(6months internship+6months full time) Switched to a series a startup at 16.35l base all fixed ,it's been 3 months now and the wlb is very agreesive although the learnings is good and I am working on core genai,llms,classical models,but want to switch to a chill minc with a. Decent 30 percent hike Is it fine? Will it look good on resume?

I come from a non-tech background and have ~4.5 years of work-ex across banking, consulting and business development (2.5 years, 7 months, and 1.5 years respectively). Last month, I switched to a CoS role in a startup but not really loving it so far. How long do I have to stay here so it doesn’t reflect poorly on my CV?

I have ~4 yrs of experience. I have worked for 2 big unicorn brands to begin with. Then i have joined a smaller and not much known startup. I am looking to switch from this startup to a better and bigger brand. Will my last work experience become a roadblock? Please share opinion folks. Hello everyone, A little context: I have full-time experience of around 2 years and actively looking for a job switch. I recently applied to a top company and got an offer to intern there for a few months. It's extremely hard for tier-3 students to get a call back from this company so the offer is a little tempting. I believe that this will be a great learning experience in efficient and scalable system design and implementation. As far as the financial aspect goes, the stipend alone is ~75% higher than my current pay and the perks more than make up for my total comp. However, this is potentially temporary since there is no guarantee of a full-time offer and it requires me to relocate to a new city. Side note, my past experiences have been short-term engagements due to both voluntary or involuntary reasons. In case this doesn't convert, will recruiters classify my profile as a job hopper? I would love any suggestions on this situation. Thanks! TLDR; looking for suggestions on whether I should leave my full-time job to pursue an internship at a top company after 2 years of full-time experience.

Hey folks, I have been working in startups for my entire experience and was wondering if it would be worth it to switch to a bigger org for better growth/learning in this market? My reasons to switch 1. Low learning potential: I am a senior SDE here and WLB here is really good, too good in fact (I barely work a couple of hours if even that), this is leading to a lower learning potential, the work I get assigned, I complete in a couple of hours and while I have been given bigger projects, the learning is not there, I can easily complete them, and since I am the senior SDE here, I cant ask anyone to review my code/performance 2. Startup is in early seed stage, and there is definitely an uncertainty here about surviving till next year 3. I wasnt given much of a hike despite a level promotion (just 10%). My manager is really awesome and one of the best guys I have ever worked under and honestly I wouldnt even think of switching if I had 5-6 YOE but at this point, I think i need to learn more and get some more guidance/review from experienced folks to grow. My salary is decent, but having my friends work in FANG/FANG-equivalent is definitely not helping my FOMO, specially when I hear about their projects in their orgs and compare it to mine which are nowhere near theirs in score or complexity. and the reason why I am hesitating to switch is seeing the layoffs news coming in everyday, I can prep for interviews in the next couple of months and probably apply then but seeing all of these layoffs and folks finding it hard to land jobs is making me fear that I will lose this job with nothing to show for it in the end. So, should I switch in this market or stick it out in my current org until market situation improves (considering it wont improve until next financial year)? Ghosting by HR is becoming increasingly common. This is not only for junior or middle level roles but also senior level. Talk to a prospective candidate and go to sleep. One more round and then go missing again. Repeat the process till the person starts to question the culture. And ya, when you wake up, expect the candidate to leave everything and respond..else, you will go ahead and open the position. Anyone else facing this in startups?
