Some Mumbai observations as a non Mumbaikar

Can someone please help with the breakup for this? For eg currently I make 85k in wfh, i am getting in mumbai at 18 lpa fixed. I was trying to estimate in terms of monetory will it be a benefit

It's been some time since I received some kindness from people. The last time I heard some kind words or got a kind gesture was very long ago. Today, whoever I interact with behaves absurdly without any compassion. The shopkeepers won't talk politely if asked about a product, the house owners will talk rudely and make random rules any day, people won't smile on the metro, in restaurants they will shout on the waiters and the list goes on. I am not even bringing up autowalas and taxiwalas. What does it take to show some compassion? How much does it take to compromise a little bit so that other person feels good about this world? Why does everyone want to just rip other off? 😞

I have been working from mountains and it has been a very good experience. I am here since last 13days no internet issue and mobile data is also fast enough. I got a tiffin arrangement as well. I am from Noida and before moving to mountains for a longer time just experimenting different areas of Uttarakhand and recently I am at Mukteshwar. Just visited Mumbai last weekend, it has somehow gotten worse over the last 5-6 years. Every 3rd or 4th road is either under construction or unusable. This girl from bumble legit defended Mumbai being safer than other metros literally after an illegal billboard fell on innocent people. The "spirit of Mumbai" is Stockholm syndrome, most of the victims/residents just don't know it or have grown numb to it. Every year people die on local train tracks and platforms, no one cares enough to do anything concrete about it. Mumbai and Bangalore are both spiralling towards being borderline unliveable. Delhi NCR too to an extent. But the unfortunate reality is that they are economic hubs, hence people are forced to work there. Decentralisation is the need of the hour, tier 2 and 3 cities must prepare themselves for reverse migration in the next few decades. I'm planning the same for myself if all goes well. It's not worth slowly dying in poisoned cities.

As a Delhiite, I don't even remember when I went to Qutub Minar or Red Fort Or shopping at Sarojini or Lajpat How will I know which hotel is good or bad? I don't stay in hotels in my own city 🤦‍♀️

Bombay’s the financial capital of India and Bangalore’s the Silicon Valley of India. Which one would you prefer and why? Would your opinion change w.r.t age (eg. 20s are better in Mumbai vs 30s are better in Bangalore? Any thoughts?

Have moved here 3 months ago. Wanted to explore the city and make it my own. What are. some things I should be doing over the weekend? Want to understand the city, it's history and culture. Have recently started learning Marathi as well. I just love this city. 💗

An observation and a thought that popped in my mind today. Why do people go to the office by Car? When only they are alone in the car? I mean, they can always use two-wheelers to commute and Bangalore weather is good enough to drive a two-wheeler(only if they ain't living very far from the office, like more than 10-11kms) . This might reduce the traffic a lot during office times. This is just my POV. Please no hate comments, but I'd like to know from someone their view as well.
