6 Day Work week
Is it common now to work 9x6 hours/week? I’ll be pursuing a course simultaneously, should I incorporate according to that or search for 5 day work week? Can you list companies working 5 days/week?
How many companies still have 6 days working? I am in robotics/manufacturing in MSME, I have a 6 day Workweek, is it a general trend in manufacturing or general trend in MSME?
In my startup we work 5 days in office and then saturdays is an optional. People come to office or they stay home. If they have work, they work.
It works out fine.
Professors in our college had 5days work week, plus almost 1 month vacation apart from mandatory leaves etc.
They have to do a PhD for that, and are paid peanuts compared to their work and qualification, they can have some work life balance in exchange
Agreed
7 days - Ola
Really? Is it like the factory is operational every day or the management/design teams too work the same schedule?
Not factory. Talking about people in Finance, Marketing, Business, Sales, etc. Almost all teams. 6 days and 12 to 14 hours without fail. Sometimes, Sundays too.
It's surprising how Europe is testing out 4-day work weeks and we are struggling between 6-7-day work week. Indian work culture needs to improve.
They have their basics sorted out, we don't, Mr. Murthy has some truth in his words, just expecting to get paid fairly in return and acceptance from society, otherwise friends and family just compare us to IT guys, earning more and having more free time
Hey guys welcome to EdTech Sales
We work 6 days a week most days and currently we’re on our 9th consecutive day of work 💀😂
We love our company and how EdTech space is run 🫂
Is it 12 hrs workday? I know people in edtech, they had pretty good work life compared to mine 😅
My shift starts at 10 AM and gets over at 8/9 PM
Add to that travel which is 1 hour each way
6 days a week and month end it’s like we’re at war. There’s a team that’s worked for 2 weeks straight now.
Same in Manufacturing plant
But they have shift systems to reduce work overload, and from what I have seen in manufacturing plants the managerial people do get weekends (even 2 days in some cases), it's just that they have to have some substitute present
Yes. Absolutely. But in my current department some certain people get this privilege. Also depends on your manager and HOD. In my case it is shit
