APM offer @ Airtel Payments: 22LPA
This is a 33% increase - total 2 yoe, including 1 yoe as APM. HR rolled out 23 + 1 (JB) to consider startup ESOPS, but changed back to 22LPA because did not get degree from premier tech institute. Thoughts?
Didn't mean to mock - but in 2018, I used to get paid 23LPA as a SPM in Bangalore at a Series B funded high-growth startup. Crazy to see how the ecosystem has grown in the last few years

Whats the job location?
Wdym did not get degree from premier tech institute? Did you fake your qualifications?
I mentioned to the HR to consider my ESOPs so she offered 23 + 1 on call and then said compensation committee did not approve because on non-tier 1, non-tech bg and back to 22 l
Out perform your tier-1 peers and demand the 2L as extra bonus.
Step 1 is important.
Then if they refuse, quit.
You'll learn a lot, and hopefully earn equally well.

ESOPs 5lacs vested in how many years?
Have your heard anything about the culture, etc? Moving from a start up to a bigger company for the first time so want to be a bit careful
24 → 22 isn’t too bad, at least they didn’t halve it based on a non tier 1 degree haha

Hey, did you join the company?
How is the work culture, etc?
Hi, I unfortunately had to decline cause of some personal issues at the time. The interview process was smooth - the VPs and managers were extremely warm and candid. Kept in touch throughout, they’re open to answering questions, etc. Hope this helps! :)

Wanted to ask how much did you demand at first before interviews?
I didn’t ask a fixed amount but a range of increase I’m looking for, which was 35-40%
