How do you deal with not having people around you ?
Does it get lonely sometime ?
How do you manage your day and schedule around work in general ?

Context :-
I've got a job offer from an Indonesia based startup and they don't have an office in India. 
I've never worked a remote job, except COVID and I don't know if I should work from the metro or go back home?

Benefits of Metro :
You get to be around people who work similar jobs.

Benefits of home :
You save money and life is a little peaceful there.

- My employer hired me when it was Fully WFH, now they force me to join office after 8 months of joining.
- Attend 5 days/week
- No hybrid
- Biometric system to track attendance 
- Complete 180 hours in a month or pay cut
- No relocation support
- Less appraisal (~5%) citing market conditions.
- Removed unlimited leaves just a few days below announcing WFO.

FYI: I was named best employee for 2023 Q1

Remote work has disoriented how people acknowledge significant events. In my work at HeyCoach, I began to observe that virtual team events are the new trend. One has to wonder how we have learned to celebrate through zoom calls, virtual games as well as gift giving via parceling. Some interesting observations Indeed have anybody else been noticing that team spirit is still standing, even ignoring the fact that offices are missing?

Which startup has the most toxic work culture?

I have been talking to a few companies, across different size bands.
Only Indian startups seem to obsessed with full week WFO/Micromanagement.

A few years back, startups were known for being more flexible, now it just seems to be the reverse.

Why are Indian startups so obsessed with Micromanagement? i.e. WFO

Non toxic startups in India?

I've just started working at a series A startup (with ops/sales heavy business). While it's still a start-up, coming to the office in person 6 days/week (alternate sat off) and mandatory 9 hour attendance on Zoho is something that puts me off. 

People just want to stamp time, rather than actually be efficient and get most things done. And because is all this, the speed is also slow. 

Curious to know if it's just me or do all series A startup after hitting 50 employees become mini corporate
