AMA About Byjus
To all the people who blindly criticize the product, I think product is good. You should look into some videos on how science concepts are explained by Byjus Team on YouTube
ROI- Cost of Byjus is about Rs 15 a Day, or about Rs 1600 per month..( Rs80,000 course of 5 years) Education as per UN as the highest ROI compared to any other investment.
Bring up your questions and blind criticism. Remember if Byjus fails startup ecosystem will break down.
Videos is not the product brother. It is just the content. The issue is related to overall customer experience, refunds and they don't deliver on what is promised to customers.
The only good product that Byjus had is Neo Classes - Two Teacher Model which combined b2c product experience + tutor + tech and they again screwed it up through awful customer service
I believe videos are extremely effective in explaining concepts that can be difficult to explain in school.
People don't know the problem of quality education in India. Only 60% students pass in 12 th standard. More than 60% students don't have knowledge of their last grade also(Source ASER report)
They shitted in customer experience due to push selling. But product is decent value for money even for middle class families.
Please comment on refunds and customer service.
Everyone knows this is a large market
How do you say that the product is good? All education products are outcome based, do you have any statistics successful outcome created by Byjus
Valid question. I can say with fair surety that about 85% students will have significant improvement in grades if they complete the module. The problem is parents don't take any responsibility many times. Whenever parents take responsibility improvement is there.
If parents take responsibility then they won't send kids to Byjus 😁
Byjus fails startup ecosystem will break down? Can you please elaborate?
Byujus gets most of flak only because of its pushy and predatory sales team. From loans, to unrealistic career promises
In tier 3 cities it has started convincing poor parents to transfer money they get from government schemes to byuju's.
Cost might me low, but that is in in tandem to all other platforms. But there is lot of cross selling on top of it, and numbers increase by a lot
Crypto/Web3/Trading/NFT boys please don't even ask any questions.
