Hi All,

I have cleared the final round of interview with Accenture and I was told i will get a call from HR for further process but today I received a regret mail from Accenture stating they are unable to process my application due to not meeting the expected compensation.

At the initial stage they asked me for the expected CTC I mentioned a 60% hike, but I am ready to negotiate.

Without discussing they sent regret mail, how should I approach HR to negotiate or 
is my profile completely rejected?

As expected, with below par FY23 results , Accenture India have announced no base pay increase this year and considerably low bonus at all levels. 
High accumulation of top levels, high stakes acquisitions last year and some failed decisions are leading to this state where employees are getting financially impacted. While rest of the IT companies in India are seeing inclined growth, and sharing good increments this year (Wipro etc) , Accenture has decided to compromise on employee attrition.

Heard from people I know at Bain that they are laying off.
This is mostly the first time an MBB is doing layoffs (earlier they would silently fire, or delay onboarding) 

A friend got impacted. Seems like this could be 10-15% of their consultants. Unprecedented.

Current recession giving ‘08 vibes to consulting companies in India:

- Accenture Strategy considering layoffs
- Deloitte (Consulting) considering layoffs 
- Mckinsey - already have done non-consulting layoffs
- MBB - expected to push out joining dates for new hires by at least ~6 months (most likely new joiners who were expecting to join in July-Aug 23’ to join only starting Jan 24’)

Slow pace of new projects, ramp down of existing big clients, massively over hiring in 2022 (key reason) has led to most people being on the bench.

Wouldn’t be surprised if the ‘Up or Out’ model comes into action more aggressively for the upcoming appraisal review cycle(s).

I have job offers coming from Accenture. However, I don't know why, I don't feel attracted or pulled towards that firm for some reason. 

My mind somewhere sees it as a company that is inferior to Deloitte or any other Big Fours, and if I'm switching I would always go for something at a same level or higher than Deloitte. Maybe that mentality is what is causing this. 

People who have been through Accenture or are a part of Accenture. I need your personal opinion about this company, and maybe that will help clear out any wrong notions I have in my mind.

I joined Accenture two years ago, attracted by its reputation and brand value, particularly after being accustomed to a highly people-centric work environment at my previous company. Unfortunately, especially after the 2023 downsizing announcement, my experience has gone downhill. This message serves as a cautionary tale for mid-level professionals considering joining Accenture. Here's why:

1. *Lack of Peer Support:* Forget collaboration! Instead, you'll encounter individuals solely focused on protecting their own projects, making newcomers feel unwelcome and hindering efficient knowledge transfer. Simple tasks can become frustratingly complex, extending the learning curve from a reasonable 2-3 months to a staggering 8-10 months just to navigate the internal dynamics.

2. *Zero Leadership Support:* Inspirational leadership? Don't expect it. The prevailing "hustle culture" translates to rudeness and unprofessional behavior instead of empathy and understanding. You're essentially on your own.

3. *Favoritism Over Performance:* Leadership seems more interested in flattery than actual results. Seniority and "brown-nosing" appear to be the keys to advancement, not performance. Do minimal work but excel at buttering up your manager, and you're golden!

Remember, this is just one perspective based on my experience at two large organizations. However, it highlights the significant impact leaders can have on shaping company culture.

I have Angular, DotNet, SAP cloud etc major experience in Startup as well as MNC. but still getting paid below 5LPA.

I want to switch but past 1 year , it's getting demotivating feeling.

I am unable to switch despite of leetcode, code chef etc.
