I am at the final stage of selecting the right Master's program to propel my career transition into product management roles within tech giants like MAANG or management consultancy positions in MBB or Big 4 firms. I intend to settle/ immigrate from India to a Western/ developed country post-MBA and finding a job will be my highest priority as I am taking a loan to finance my total fees and cost of living abroad.  
  
I have offers from  
  
1. TIAS School of Business MBA, Utrecht, Netherlands (Tuition Fee coming down to 29000 euros after scholarship),  +11000 euros for the cost of living.

Pros: 
-Strong economy and relatively less competitive job market
-Best quality of life in the world with healthcare,etc
- less stressful immigration process and life, wlb

Cons: 
-Less salary and 40% income tax
- horrible housing crisis(worse than mumbai)so a good portion of salary will go in that and will have to share a flat with people after MBA.
-The MBA and any business school in Europe after the top 3 is not greatly valued there. It's your past experience that matters so career switching will be tricky 
-weather
- socializing hurdles with locals
  
2. Duke University, NC, USA : for a Master of Science in Engineering Management Program, 66000 USD Tuition fees. The cost of living can be easily covered with part time jobs.
  
I am seeking advice to make an informed decision along with some feedback about the best place to live for me. I have heard mixed feedback on job prospects due to the current market challenges. But, a few years back the alumni from these programs got into the positions I aim to work at.  
  
Profile: 25 M. Previously worked for 6 months as a Tech Project Manager at a VC. Currently, I'm a Scrum Master at a renowned British FinTech MNC and will have 3.4 years of total full-time experience (only in leadership roles ) by the time I enroll in any course in Sept 2024. Only proficient in English, open to other languages if necessary. TIA.

My friend graduated this year is planning for masters in management and targeting b schools in France mainly hec Paris, Essec and ESCP as he told me but he is confused whether he should go for it or not keeping in mind he will stay there for few years and want to earn decent , he knows that usa is best in terms of salary but current scenario is preventing them from applying to techno-managerial masters like mem/msba

Hi,

I am currently working as an software developer (5+ years experience)with around 40LPA CTC. 

Most of the people in my circle have gone there 2-3 years back.

Now I am having a fear of missing out, I applied for a few universities and I have got an admit in MS in CS. 

Is it worth it to migrate to another country and start again at this point of my career? What is your opinion on work in USA compared to India?

I have an admit from a Boston University for MS in US. The loan amount is coming around 80L including living expenses and tuition fees. 

I’ll have to take a loan to pursue education there. 

Is that worth it? The loan amount looks too high. 
What would be the time taken on an average to payback the loan? Is the ROI justified?

I'm a 24yo M, into frontend engineering making over 18LPA. I'm also working part time for a startup. 

I'm considering masters in the UK, US or Canada on the same order of priority.

my main reasons to even consider masters are the following
- meet people from different backgrounds
- get a better paying job with a work visa in a foreign country
- FOMO as a lot of people i know from college are now abroad studying/working

cons i see in this approach
- heavy on the finances
- economy isn't doing very well worldwide 
- job market is pretty bad rn
- i have everything here in India (family, friends, a well paying job)


my ideal case would be to get a visa sponsored job opportunity, but considering the economy and job market it seems impossible. 

would love to know opinions of some experienced folks or anyone who'd have some guidance for me. thanks.

I have 2 years of Backend experience and I feel like masters won’t add much to my knowledge or experience and want an honest reply to all the persons who did masters in US. 
I come from a Tier 1 college but have a decent CGPA and no research experience whatsoever so won’t get hotshot colleges but the ones which I would get would it add anything to my skillset and I don’t wanna do it just for the sake of getting masters and working in the US.

A little background: I'm 2024 cs grad from a tier 3 university placed at Zomato as an SDE-1. Getting a good pay of ~25 LPA. 

Should I be considering a masters in AI/ML field, considering I've no prior knowledge of the field and I'm only attracted to it because of the recent rise of LLMs. 

I would be open for a masters from India or abroad. 

What are the pros and cons? Should I go for it? If yes then what's the path that you'd suggest if you've done it or someone you know who has done it? What would be some good universities to target?

I'm planning to pursue a master's degree in the USA or Europe but have a budget constraint of only 10 lakhs INR. I know it's a tight budget, but I'm determined to make it work. I would really appreciate any advice or insights from those who have been in a similar situation or have knowledge about affordable study options abroad or related scholarships.

well i have applied to 100s  of companies for internship .no interview scheduled ,, some rejection mails ,, mostly ignored. 
Done decent projects (not youtube tutorial ones, made during hackathon) 
Done 70% striver sheet and participated in many contests. 
most of my batch is going to be unplaced or with 3-4 lpa . 
I have been really sick(fever, migraine,...)for about the past 7-8 days . 
Never knew tension and frustration can have a toll on  physical health up to this level . 
Initially i was not considering masters as an option but i guess now, looking at the current scenario i am considering it. 
Gate is again a rat race with a deficient funnel and as per current scenario candidates will increase and it will be more competative. 
I think mtech should be only done via IITs/ NITs or else no point. 
I could be wrong or I could be overthinking simple things therefore I wanted views of exp folks 
1) should i take up 3-4 lpa job right now
2) should i go for masters abroad

Will the recession conditions will be alright around then? If any of your friends or relatives are working there or if you have any idea so please help me out I am a fresher, don't have a full time job right now doing internship will apply for only the top universities in US, I will get in most likely as per my profile. But is it recommendable to go in 2025 because people are not getting and jobs or internships there at all. Even from good colleges. Or should I stay here and prepare for GATE.
