Here's a typical tech hiring process these days. Round 1: basic screening on phone call. Round 2: Take home assignment - For Designers, Do complete redesign of the current website mobile and desktop, share edit access to figma file post submission (so that we can use your work for free). - For Developers Build complete full stack app with testing and latest tech, deploy app, db everythjng and give repo access. Time limit for both can vary but is very short given then task. Round 3: Ghost. Yes this is a rant, not all companies do it, but experiencing this a lot of times these days.

I have heard many people say that SSB interview is the toughest interview in the world. Is it true? Anyone who sat for the interview, please share your challenges and insights that you gained from the interview.

In both blue-collar & white-collar jobs? 2) How bad are the taxes? Does govt. deliver on the taxes charged? 3) How's the economy performing? Good or Bad? 4) Do employers sponsor visa's? of aged parents as well? 5) How's the weather? Do u experience any extreme conditions? 6) Do you experience any kind of racism as an Indian? 7) Safe for women? 8) Can you get citizenship easily? 9) How safe is the country? Do they have proper gun laws? 10) How good is public transport? 11) What are some common problems Indians face while moving there for work? Can they settle over there? 12) And you can skip this one. Why did you migrate from India?

Hi everyone, I got my answer in my previous post, I have another query, I have around 2 year of experience, I am going to have a 30 minutes Phone screen, first call with HR, she said it’s going to be just casual talks, what can I expect in that call? If any idea, please share. Also, I did fair amount of CP and DSA during college days, it’s been a while and I need to brush up my problem solving skills, so if she asks how much do you want before scheduling your first interview, asking for how much time is safe? I have generally seen this either in reel / film life or real life, where people who love what they do, tend to be - 1. Much more happier / satisfied everyday 2. They give way more of themselves into the task not because someone demands it, but because they want to, they enjoy it 3. They constantly improve and be better at this thing 4. They aren't in it for the money. They don't do things or learn more or put more hours because it's paying them, they do it because of the love for the thing. Money is just an add-on Do you guys have anything like this in life which you enjoy doing so much and can do it without thinking about the money you'd get. This thing shouldn't be something you consume, but something you produce, even if it helps 1 person out, still counts! Eg. You do coding, learn new things in it, not because it pays you, but because it's what you love doing. You'd probably still keep doing it even if it doesn't pay you anything

I applied for the opening at JPL (Jio Pvt Ltd) in June of last year. Received the interview call on 4th July and concluded the entire process with the final HR round on 17th August (already painfully slow). This was followed by a period of complete silence from the HR's end, which finally broke on 30th September (after probably 30+ follow-ups) when they gave me a verbal offer and gave me confidence for the final offer release within a few days. Well, the final offer came on 27th December 2023, close to 3 months after the verbal offer (again, after probably 40+ follow-ups). Joined on 16th January 2024 (due to some emergency), and was treated to a GREAT campus in Navi Mumbai. --And this is probably where everything good with JPL ends. After spending 2 days, I understand that things are not what I expected from any Product organisation, and that I made the wrong decision. Gave myself 30 days to ensure the feelings were backed by more experiences, and I'm not acting impulsively. Day 31, I started interviewing with other organisations, and fortunately was able to get in touch with the HR from another organisation that I rejected for Jio, and they were kind enough to resend the offer letter. Dropped the bomb on 8th March 2024, startling everyone because people usually don't like leaving their comfortable lives at Jio. My L1 and L2 aligned on a 14 days notice period, but the "smartasses" in the HR department thought its a great idea for me to serve the entire notice period of 60 days, and thus I'm stuck here till 6th May 2024.
