Does usage of standing desk really help reduce back problem?
Have anyone of you purchased a standing desk and which brand would you recommend?
Hi everyone as the title suggests i hv really started facing problem in daily activites due to this. I was once a very active guy who liked walking a lot but know even standing from chair is giving pain . Just after the covid this all things hv started happening. But the problem is i am only 1 years in my tech career and recent grad of 2022. I am really worrying about my long term prospects. I know i should be asking this to doc and ys i hv asked them i just want to know from community if u guys hv problem how are u dealing with this. I hv recently joined gym also but that isnt solving my back problem . Doctor said to avoid prolong sitting but unable to do much in it.
Make sure you exercise daily without fail. Hitting the gym will help a lot. Do not sit in one posture for a long time. Take a small break after an hour or so.
But most importantly consult a doctor first. They can only tell the exact reason and remedy.
Absolutely DO NOT exercise at this point before consulting a doctor.
One of my friends ignored the pain and kept gymming, he got some spine issue due to that and now his back pain problem has increased tremendously.
I've faced similar back pain too. First, get your scans done and see if there is a spine issue like disc slips or anything. Also check for Sciatica due to Spine. If Spine is not causing issue, start strength exercises for back and core. Many times, due to excessive sitting, your core and back muscles become weak and can't support your posture anymore. This leads to overworking muscles then inflammation then back pain. DON'T LIFT WEIGHTS OR DO CARDIO because these demand strength from core and back.
There are many exercises that specifically target core muscles, the hip muscles (glutes) and lower back. Start doing them alternate days. Take protien when you exercise. It will take 3 months atleast to get some strength. Also twice a week stretch your lower back, hip muscles too. There are many good yogasanas for them. Google them all.
Yes i am planning to go to doc tomm . I am also worried if my back is issue then stopping the gym is better but going to gym is actually making me more active keeping my digestion good
Have a physiotherapy consultation in blr. Physiotheraphy docs will examine, get to root cause of problem( bad posture leading to a lot of muscles being unhealthy, which one needs to be rehab-ed first and how needs to come from physio )
And then they will suggest eight exercises to hit muscles that will give you relief in 10-15 days.
The sooner to take a consultation better for your future. Hoping for quick and strong recovery.
My friend was facing similar problems, he had a slip disc in lower back, so he had to get the surgery done as the disc bulge was too much and that was causing the pain. After surgery now he is fine and has no pain.
