I recommend Mumbai/Gurgoan-NCR for people who think blr is bad. In Mumbai you can enjoy the peaceful local train travel everyday, write poems sitting at the window seat while the train chugs along the sea shore. And live in a 2 cr apartment that's the size of a car park. Or move to Gurgaon where people and the kids can enjoy dog bites, have a meaningful conversation with dog loving woke liberal aunties. And weekend parties with peacefull polite neighbours. But of course that can be done if there is no protest and you can go out. What is there in blr? only traffic. All other cities one can easily drive their Lamborghinis.

Bangalore has people with 2 mindsets 1. They feel Bangalore is their home, they belong here culturally and have blended in. They accept the fact that like all cities, there are things that need to be fixed... Infrastructure, strong political leadership to make things happen et all. "Bangalore airport being in Hyderabad " is least of their problems 2. Outsiders who visit Koramangala or Indiranagar on weekends and do not accept they belong to the city culturally, complain that there's traffic and over population forgetting that they are part of the problem by migrating here leaving their home which had "ample job opportunities" that they could not choose one and stay there

Very tired of these posts at this point. You do realise the traffic and water depletion is because we moved here for “better opportunities” right? Unless you take 5 flights a month, I don’t see the airport being a problem. Bangalore is not my favourite city but I choose to deal with the cards I’ve been dealt with. If youre so unhappy, just move. Less traffic for us.

I have recently moved to Chennai and feel that city is very underrated. It has much better infrastructure as compared to other major cities. Also, lesser traffic. Language issue is much overhyped.

Came to blr for the first time. And I was greeted with traffic jam. Blr is so far behind on basic city infrastructure. Imo even Kolkata has better roadways and connectivity. But the Bengaluri metro is impressive. (Also why is the airport outside the city?)

Need city suggestions to move out of Tier 1

Background: I have always lived and worked across only Tier 1 cities of the country (was in a Tier 2 city for couple of years) Though I love the ease and standard of living, the costs are insane. Plus all types of pollutants, lesser respect for humans Suggest non Tier 1 cities which offer - house on rent to single women - have electricity back up - Swiggy/Zomato connectivity - decent internet speed

It took 2 hrs from Sarjapur to Airport, out of which 1 hour was only for crossing Marathahalli. It feels so stupid calling Bangalore a Tier 1 city, bhai Paani nahi hai airport jaane me flight ka aadha kharcha lag jata time ke saath. Why am I even paying tax.
