Be careful going to Apollo Clinic

So, last month my sister had a severe headache. She went to Apollo multi-speciality hospital in jaynagar and whole body check up. She got the reports mixed with some other person reports. Neither did the doctor recognise my sister the reports patient name on the name And she checked with other hospitals and she got the solution. The thing is she got reported as she is having right amount hemoglobin I've arround 14 but actually she had less than 9 While she visited the other hospitals she stated she had a good amount of hemoglobin and doctor was shocked seeing the correct reports which mentioned 9 hemoglobin. After a month we noticed the reports and found out the reports were different patient. NB: the first three pages were correct and rest 3-4 pages were varied with someone else report So, what should I do to Apollo hospital Shall I file a police case ? What valid reason I can mention? Need your help and support

Today I went to one hospital to do MRI because I was having a pain in naval and stomach area. Hospital is quoting 15k for the scan and additional 2k , totalling to 17k . Bangalore City is this much expensive for the healthcare solutions? Am I robbed here ? Any suggestions welcome.

Alert: a rant post Today I saw my payslip after a long time and WTH! I don't know what they'll take once bonus comes in. Paying this much for no water, bad air, corrupt babus and all those douche things. As much as patriotic I am, this is just insane. On top of this add all the GST and sheet ton of other indirect taxes. Living in India and paying like Europe. Wow!

Is there any one else who feels India doesn't have good doctors anymore. I have seen some great hospitals for orthopaedic surgeon and none of them able to treat my knee pain. Whenever I visited any doctor either they pick up phone call of their friends in mid consultation or just type the medicines name or irrevelant tests. Now I feel like I can't trust any doctor in India. Very less portion of good doctors remaining here. Did anyone of you faced bad thing in hospital for you or your parents.

Anyone having experience with medical insurance claims? I added claim for appendix operation and I’m on notice period. My managers and HRs are ghosting me. Plum comes back asking for the same document. Have a big amount (the amount looks big to me) used up for this as the hospital didn’t have cashless facility. What to do here? Feeling helpless.

I was wondering how big hospitals communicate within departments given that so many of the are working in psylos. For example, department handling patients will send details of bill to account department, and further they'll again send that info to TPA (Insurance) and again back to accounts department. I mean as a patient I faced severe issue while getting all this cleared and there was no central communication channel (something like slack). Anyone in community has information about this?

Can someone suggest a good term insurance plan. I need a cover of at least 3cr. (Open to suggestions based on my salary) Also need health insurance for both parents, and self. Company provides a basic plan of 7L. Please recommend. Basic details: Age 30 Salary > 50LPA
