Best reason for job change

Well, money can be a good enough reason for job change. But, it may negatively impact your image in front of recruiters. Though recruiters also know that candidates seek better positions which also comes with monetary gains, there should be other reasons for changing a job. For instance, you may change your existing job because you need to hone your skills and your current company doesn’t have any educational courses or programs for such skills. If you’re married, you can also state that because your spouse is shifting to another city, you need need to switch, provided the organisation doesn’t have a branch in that particular city.

Switching jobs is not abnormal. If any person seeks a better job opportunity, they would go for it. But, you need to understand that when the recruiter asks you the reason for job change you give a positive reason. As a reason for job changes, you can mention about work-life balance. I was working at an organisation and my supervisor made me work long hours to meet unending deadlines. When I was switching to another company, the recruiter asked me the reason for the job change and I mentioned that I’d be driven to work in an environment which offers me work-life balance.

No actual learning at the current company, saturation, to work on better tech stack. I guess just try to show that you want to do more but are not able to do so due to the current company.
