Been making this much for a while now, married too, zero generational wealth. Somehow we’ve got very bad financial discipline and manage to save only under a lakh per month in Bangalore. Feel we should be doing better :/

Here is the break-up - 
Residential Plot we Just bought from our Indian Stock Selling - 90L
Equity - 40L
Crypto - 6L
US Stocks - 26L
Mutual Funds - 10L
NPS and EPF - 22L 
Cash - 6L 

I have not factored in inheritance of about 1CR which will be passed on to us in a long time but I don't want to count that as mine I want to pass that to my son... As that will be his not mine! 

3.5 year back I had a educational loan of 17L and my Wife had Equity of 17L so basically we were at 0 at that time... 

Nothing has changed at all for me... And I do not think even 10-20CR would change me too 😉 I am still a confused stupid... And will be forever ♾️

I have resigned from my current job as I was not satisfied.. I am looking out for more opportunities outside so that I can build the house with that money! 

Even with 2 CR I don't think I have achieved anything ... I have a long way to go from here ☺️

Hey, I am 45 years old and working in IT. I have a stock portfolio of around 3 cr and other investments in ppf, fd etc of 1 cr. I have a loan free car and house in tier 2 city.

Recently started earning and honestly living a comfortable life with a much lower salary than most people talk about. Doing the math, I don't see myself needing more than 18L-24L in hand to save and continue living comfortable (but I am someone who always likes to do more and get paid more).
If you're <30 and earning this much money, why do you push for higher salary (eg from 30LPA to 40 LPA) - is 30 not enough?

Stocks- ~30k if you average on a quarterly basis (smallcase)

What percentage of your salary do you invest?

My last salary was 53,000 per month. Now after switch I am making 1,10,000 per month. 
Last year. I was living in a Rs.10,000 room but I want to move to a better place in about 20 to 25,000 budget because now my salary is 1 lakh+ but I don’t think that is the best thing to do because you shouldn’t increase your expenses along with your income, or you will not end up￼ saving anything.
But I feel like if I am moving out of my home to live in a different city ( Bangalore ) then I should be living nicely

Me and my wife are 30 years old software engineer with no kids. Draw 7 lac a month please some yearly bonus. We invest 2 lac a month combined into equity market through mutual funds. 

Expenses: 1.5 lac a month including everything, lives in Bangalore in good society, owns a car, don't thing much before spending. 

Still after everything left with 3 lakhs every month in bank account. Not sure how to use that. We both don't have any fancy "shauk" where we can spend and hence don't have an urge to earn more. 

Any suggestions???

Hey - we are also similar to you. Would strongly suggest finding something you’re passionate about. 
  
 For us (primarily me) - got a dog, took a 6 month sabbatical, travelled to 30+ countries in this time, left job to pursue startup idea, spend time with parents, learn language, improve fitness, learnt some coding, etc 
  
 It’s a pretty good position to be in - just explore I’d say

I got 100% hike. I joined an abroad company. Now my salary is 30 LPA. Any serious answers what should I do? I don’t want to be reckless with so much money.

But need practical advice

Can someone retire with just 50 Lakh in hand at 30.

You can't have the same car for 50 more years. 
  
 Your house will need pieces of renovation in the next 50 years. 
  
 Your body parts will start crumbling in the next 50 years.  
  
 Inflation will continue to eat your money in the next 50 years. 
  
  
 So no way you can survive with 1L per year for the two of you.

I'm 35 and have barely started saving. Is it too late to catch up, or should I just plan on working forever?
Between student loans, rent, and the general cost of living, retirement savings always fell to the bottom of the list. Now I'm freaking out.
