The retirement savings panic
I'm 35 and have barely started saving. Is it too late to catch up, or should I just plan on working forever? Between student loans, rent, and the general cost of living, retirement savings always fell to the bottom of the list. Now I'm freaking out. Late bloomers in the savings game, how are you tackling retirement planning?
Just chill and start investing!
I am 33, I started investing at 31. Sitting at half a crore mark right now. My strategy is just MF (just index), and timing the market. Through an aggressive savings and frugal lifestyle at Mumbai (family of two) we are able to maintain it so far.
The trick is start small and increase it slowly.
It is very easy when the large cap is giving 50% and small/mid caps are giving 100% return in last 2 years. 😀
Are you in debt? If not then not an issue, just start with this month.
I have a similar situation, household expenses, and everything eating up most of the things. Just don't stress out be chill and start in that direction
I was in similar situation till some years ago. Still not completely out of it but the things I did are took an Lic policy, doing short and long term mutual investments, nps from salary, purchased house on loan.
