Concerned about future roles

So I am working on frontend for past 1 year, and work has become monotonous and I always wanted to be in backend, my team only works in frontend.

What should I do because I don’t want to be stuck in frontend forever, people around me are saying if I stay here for a year more, I will be stuck in frontend and it will be very hard for me to switch to backend.

Please advise, Thank you!

Do full stack bro and slowly switch to backend. I’ve done both in my company. Last year was very intense backend for me. But from the last 2-3 months I’m doing frontend dev which I’m not liking at all 😕

I am a backend developer who yearns to be a fronted developer every now and then because how easy it looks sometimes but i realized this much sooner that just like everyone else i am not limited by circumstances to learn by doing. what i mean is if you really want to switch to backend because you like it then you should find a freelance gig which doesn't pay much and work your way up, don't think you cannot switch just because others said so.
