50% layoff at a Bangalore  based health tech startup. Founder had no shame or guilt. Has raised funding recently but chose to fire people again. This is the third layoff in the last 1.5 years. Terrible management, declined variable pay. Severance is to paid in the next 4 months. Just trying to pivot the company into ‘AI’ without any plan whatsoever.

Last week there was a townhall meeting in my office . In that the CEO announced that company revenue jumped 2X and sets the expectations for the current year The hike will be low compared to the last year as the global situation is not doing well. Beauty is he throws out a promise that if company revenue grows 4x from this year then every one in the company will get an additional 10% hike on next year appraisal .


I joined this company recently. I don't know what they are up to in future . Is it a good deal???

How about Pocket FM daily work culture

Last year, during this time of year,  I had a ops job and I was very stressed. I was scared of office calls. I knew that job was not for me. This year I don't have any job. But I will be joining somewhere in few days. It is an okayish place. But I still am not happy. There is lesser but constant stress like last year. 
Maybe my frustration was because I was not able to handle the situation in my last job and not because of the situation I was in. And I still feel that way. What should I fix? How?
