Looking for a switch to a strategy/Partnership roles. 
The work culture is not very bad to the point I have stopped people from applying.

I have 1 year of workex and have worked on 5 projects during my stint. Most of my projects were led by me with some support from senior consultant.
Work included Impact Consulting project for a state government, DD for a Infra Conglomerate, financial modelling for 2 companies and one strategy and PMO piece.

Ik the market is tough rn but any lead would be great!

Hi Guys,
I  am working as a software developer in Oracle( btech from old IIT) . Its been 2 years and I now want to switch to management consulting (preferable in MBB) to experience it so want to give MBA.

1. I did some research but I want to gain some information on the salary aspect of it. I heard that the salaries are not that high they would probably be in the same range that I am getting now. BUT, I want to know in the long run do consultants get more hikes compared to tech roles? 

2. I heard the wlb is pretty bad so is there some resource that I can study to know if thats the right suit for me since its a big risk I’ll be taking moving on to a different field. There are some good exit opportunities also I believe after MBB can someone tell more about it.

Would really appreciate some answers on this. Its on my head for a long time. Cheers!

I have 12 years of experience in IT industry and I have been only with 3 firms so far. Primary reason for job change has always been relocation as my personal life changed during these times. I have always been a top performer since the very beginning and I have been a manager too. But now I start loosing interest and I want to know what options do I have if I don’t want to scale up the ladder anymore. I just want to continue to remain in work to support my family but at the same time I don’t want to feel pressured to grow in career. I feel IT is not a place to retire but I don’t know what other options exist. All the technologies that I worked so hard for are almost becoming obsolete and I’m at a point where I don’t know what to do. Finding job scares me just as much as staying in the current one.

Is anyone experienced beyond 15 years and are yet just Sr. Consultants or managers and what are your thoughts?

I work in a US based fintech named as One.App I've joined them in January this year only. 
The thing is my manager is kind of toxic. What makes him toxic is he doesn't talk to me much whenever I go to him with problems instead of trying to help me. He says something like that's so poor documentation, I am horrified by looking at it. He doesn't even help me in making it better. Tries to just divert me to other people for help.

I have in total 5 years of experience.

The other company I am getting offers from is HackerRank. It offers me 12 Lacs less than the One.App but I've heard good things about them. So what do you guys think I should do?

In 2023 started my data analyst training to get into It companies for the technical domain and In 2023 end started  working as a business analyst for a Pvt Ltd company and  left because of the mental distress due to company policies and left the job, move to hometown to get better. Now I am working with my friends startup and do not have many projects in hand I wanted to help him to get more projects so I started working on freelance platforms to get projects. We have heard so much about how IT services consulting company is bad over Product based company (e.g. TCS vs Amazon/Microsoft ). I want to know about pros and cons of going into a consulting company from a product based company.  I felt my learning was very slow in the Product based company and hence thinking of joining a startup. Right now I have an offer from IT consulting startup in the domain of AI, Blockchain, Cloud Applications. What can you tell me about this? I looked on LinkedIn but there are not enough employees (250 only) , so unable to get opinions. Most of them are 1-3 yrs experience and joined right out of college. So their views are not helping much.

I work in analytics consulting with almost 4 years experience and passively looking to switch. What I find is I’m too senior for junior level roles (which ask for 2 years work ex) and too junior for mid senior roles (analytics manager/lead etc).
Anyone else in a similar situation? Any thoughts on how to tackle this?

I'm currently working on an FTE job - wherein the offer letter its mentioned "During the term of your employment with the Company, you may not engage in any employment or act in any way, which either conflicts with your duties and obligations to the Company, or is contrary to the policies or the interests of the Company."

Now, I'm getting enough time and I want to consider working in a 0-1 startup, and the new company I'm joining will know about my current employer - The above mentioned is the only clause the current employer have regarding working in other company. Can the current employer legally put a case anytime in the future if they get to know this? - what are the loopholes I can use here?

What position I can join in as (Consultant, Advisory role) - Still an early career professional in order to avoid conflict afterwards.
