Security Engineer

Pretty lucrative at the moment. However it also depends what focus area you’re targeting. Product Security is hit right now with product based companies, consultancies mostly hire pentesters/red teamers/ or GRC professionals. Defensive security is also quite in demand. At the end of the day it all depends on your skills but yeah cybersecurity is in demand. There is a huge talent gap in the market, not just India but globally.

What about SOC analysts or cloud security?

Cloud security is much more in demand than SoC and also pays way better

Most of the requirements i see for entry level roles are in between 3-5 years of experience. 
I’m actively looking for some roles in security engineering but only got 1+ year of exp and it’s been extremely hard to get any interviews. 
Any suggestions on how should I approach to land a role in this.

I am currently working in Gurgaon as an IT administrator. I am thinking of switching to cyber security roles. What hike should I be expecting? I keep myself up-to-date with technological advancements so the process of switching won’t be a problem.
