How is the demand and opportunity for Cyber Security Experts? How is Cyber Security as a career in the India IT Market?
It is doing good. Some numbers that I’m seeing around first hand.
Anyone :
with 4+ years of experience is getting 20-30LPA
with 6+ years of experience- 40LPA+
With 0-1 years of experience - 8-12LPA
Pretty lucrative at the moment. However it also depends what focus area you’re targeting. Product Security is hit right now with product based companies, consultancies mostly hire pentesters/red teamers/ or GRC professionals. Defensive security is also quite in demand. At the end of the day it all depends on your skills but yeah cybersecurity is in demand. There is a huge talent gap in the market, not just India but globally.
