Index MF, simple and hassle free. Not running behind returns, not intending to retire in 40s. By the time I’ll be 60 I’ll have more than enough money.

Depends on your goals, if you are willing to take risks and want to get more returns then invest greater proportion in stocks them MF, tho I wouldn't suggest going all in on just stocks or MF. Make 70-30 split 70 stocks 30 MF or 30 stocks 70 MF. Last but not least wherever you choose to invest, invest with long term hold mindset.

Stocks, as it gives much much more potential of doubling or tripling the returns. MFs are safe bet with 3 SIPs set up for each month. As a comparison, my stock portfolio is running at 110% profit while MF is running at only 43%.

I’m not sure but assuming I’ll get 80-90K in hand
Considering the job is in mumbai, the rent and other expenses would be high considering it to be 40-50K (pls tell how much it should be at max) 
Also how much taxes will I be paying and how to save it max
I really need your help, how do I start investing? Can I put all in Small cap MF, what would you advice? What should be the split between Stocks and MF, and in MF how much in which categories? 
Also it would be great if you can recommend the best 2-3 MF in your portfolio in each categories, and 5-10 stocks for Stock SIP for long term

Both indexes began diverging sometime close to when Fed started to aggressively hike rates. It appears that the post-COVID rally was more favourable to the S&P but NIFTY is currently outperforming on absolute returns.

My idea is fundamentally simple. Financial prudence during the raging recovery paid off for us, the economy appears resilient and poised to do well in the near to mid-term. It also reflects that markets are pricing recessionary risk very differently to both markets.

I don’t have much knowledge about investing, for now i have following investments

- 10 Lac in FD
- 5 Lac in stock where I have bought stocks of well known large cap company without any analysis assuming that it will grow in long term

Zero exposure to US stocks. 
Zero exposure to Crypto.
Have a house (~45 lacs) for parents in a Tier 2 city which I haven’t added here. 
No liabilities (finished an education loan and a home loan)

Recently started investing in NPS and will continue to do (~1.5 lpa) and accumulating SGB (~2.5 lacs, the screenshot doesn’t capture gold correctly) from the past 6 months.

Question - is there merit in talking money out of EPF and reinvesting in Mutual Funds? What is the general view.

We have heard so many times that it's difficult to beat the index and people should stick to investing in index mutual funds.

Well I've been doing SIP in selected non-index funds for past 4-5 years and surprised to that I'm comfortably beating nifty 50 benchmark.

I have been investing regularly in MF and Stocks for the past 1.5 years. Recently for the past couple of days the market has been very bad and i have lost a lot of money. Should i invest more or should i hold. Need some investment suggestions. I have a lot of cash to spare roughly 40-45L what is the best investment should i make. Need suggestions from folks here.
