How??
Used as filtering criteria if everything else is same, atleast for the first job. So having good 12th % won't hurt

Wipro, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant, HCL.
The below is a comment i saw some time back on glass door-
"They hire a lot of mediocre, college-educated immigrants who think they’re getting a sweet deal by getting sponsored in a western country for a comfortable white collar job.
In actuality, they do work that’s about as mind-numbing and tiring as coal mining, but on a laptop, and for ridiculously long hours. Being in these firms puts a black mark on your CV and is essentially career suicide, which is why they offer some serious packages for white experienced hires who can get them clients, and those same immigrants they hired can’t exit to better firms, but they’re still making a lot more money than back where they came from so they stay.
Basically, they’re growing because of 0 voluntary attrition, employees who are enslaved and do good work so they don’t get fired, and these white experienced hires who were willing to swap their career aspirations with a relatively sweet pay package, but they bring these firms a lot of business"

Yes if 12th overall is not above 60%.
My colleague gave interview at PwC and after passing all rounds was rejected only because of 12th percentage (around 50%).
