Placements

Talked with few of my seniors working in finance/IB and tech and a few of my friends doing internships in big tech. All of them are of the view that placements for 24 batch will be far more worse than 23 batch.Many companies have stopped expansion plans and arent expanding teams,I am mostly refering to the software/IT and finance industry here. So my question, are the placements of 24 batch going to be worse than the 23 batch,what are your views?

Hi guys, what's the status of the job market rn? I am from a good college but worried about Placements because of recession anol. Do companies have stopped hiring. Btw I will be sitting for software roles in placements..

Why I see so much less openings for '24 batch. Is it b'coz companies are visiting on-campus now & they will fill their vacant positions after october-november. What do you think, when they will hire through off-campus, as in my college very few companies are visiting and mostly startups.

I know desk analyst from top 3 NITS have base of 18L , heard the same was about 24L for top 7 IITs. But these are for smallers firms like iRageCapital, Parker Wright. Read in news that firms like gavitron is paying 60L base, while this season Jane street took few students from IITK for 4cr in hong kong region. What about midsize firms like squarepoint capital, madison cube ?

hey all can some one pls guide me about what are the salaries and roles offered to a 22 yr old fresher at colleges like IMI, Delhi IMT, Gzb, SIBM, Pune or SIIB, Pune in the marketing domain? what sort of companies come for consulting? (a breakup of in-hand + bonus would be appreciated, trying to decipher what holds for me beyond the placements reports)
