Does your company sponsor employees for B school programs
Hi
I have not heard a lot about tech companies sponsoring MBAs for their employees in India but this seems to be slightly more common Stateside.
I am mainly interested in the postgrad programs sponsorship policies of your companies or startups, is it different for those in software and those in product/business role?
Note: While an mba is not essential for moving up the ladder in tech as much as in other industries, it could still be quite helpful for those moving into strategy or management roles within the company.
Does sponsorship work on a case by case basis in your company or is there a common policy for all?
Thanks! And sorry for the repost

Till a couple of years back, investment banks and other lots used to do it, now they dont!
its simply a lot of overhead expense in a tie up with a B-school and paying for education. Every other person is an engg or an MBA.
Thanks, that does Make sense. I think sponsorship does exist in very few cases where the company decides you need to upskill in a traditional MBA, but definitely becoming much rarer
