F*** you Corporates

I want to share my experience as a fresher at Accenture, my first company from a college placement. The first six months were fine, but then I faced severe mental harassment from my supervisor and manager. She constantly criticized my work and gave negative feedback, causing me immense stress. I often skipped meals and worked weekends to improve, but nothing helped. Despite reporting the issue and requesting a supervisor change or a different track, my requests were ignored. The harassment worsened, affecting my physical health, and I couldn't eat or sleep properly. My manager controlled trivial aspects like where to sit and whom to talk to, making the situation unbearable. I was even forced to switch from a developer role to a tester, despite being trained as a developer. The final straw was being placed on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) without a clear reason, with the same harassing individuals assessing me. I only had 1.9 years of experience then. I reported the mental harassment to HR and resigned due to deteriorating health, panic attacks, and weight loss. Despite having no other job offer, I couldn't continue. Even during my notice period, I was forced to complete PIP assignments, which led to suicidal thoughts and further health issues. Now, I am jobless, feeling helpless and frustrated. With less than 2 of experience, I struggle to find offers in a down IT market and don't know what to do next.

Today I was asked by Hr to resign, with 60 days notice period. What shall I do to save myself from further exploitation by the firm. Also, if I resign might have to give back my joining bonus as I have completed 11 months

~RANT~ Recently, everyone might have heard name of ExxonMobil floating around for making Insane profits of ~$56 Billion in 2022, which almost parallel profits realized by Apple. One must imagine employees floating in Bonuses or gifts or whatever, for helping the company achieve this. And what we get is a food card loaded with INR 2500 that can be used on Zomato/Swiggy. The sheer audacity to give all employees this voucher with a mail stating (idr exact words, but it was similar) "A token of appreciation for all the dedication, hardwork and perseverance of our employees". Houston Office receives good bonuses, and India office has no system of bonus for employees. Salary increase that barely beats inflation and that too different for all employees based on a shitty employee evaluation system. All this after they mention Employees are thier biggest foremost and most important resources. Also, they claim they operate with Highest ethical standards. LOL. This is how you treat your best resources? By giving this 2.5k coupon, it would have been better if they had not given us anything than reducing the value we create for the company to these stupid cards. ~RANT over~

After all rounds cleared successfully during HR discussion for offer she told they can't offer more than my current. If that was the case why can't they inform initially before taking interview.

Been working in this firm from quite sometime. Its a service based firm and i work for an American fintech giant. Worked hard, led upgrades, learnt new stuff, delivered complex usecases. Recently i started seeing alot of discrimination from this client as now they have started seeing contractors as 3rd class ppl. It started with not inviting contractors in business discussions to now reached a point where new joiness (full time employees) of theirs are taking credit on a work which i worked on. Sad stuff. I know i have heard that corporate is not family but it hurts to see how self centric people are in this world. I have been very dedicated for them all this while. Now I think its about time to jump ship & get the due respect elsewhere.

I recently received an offer from an org. After multiple rounds I was told I was selected and we discussed numbers. However I did not receive any offer for a month. I in the meantime checked about company culture and found out it's not good and when I did get offer after a month, I rejected it within the same day. I did ask them to send over the offer since I was still pondering. HR called me post that and started calling me unprofessional that I rejected offer post receiveing the letter and why I did not reject it earlier. Was I unprofessional? And honestly most of the companies reject candidates left right and center without a second thought post multiple interviews.

I'll go first. I got a call for an APM role from one of the companies which did sound pretty sketchy and the recruiter was started bullying me into answering questions, when I asked to know more about the role. The recruiter was extremely unprofessional, and obviously the conversation was nowhere great. They however, did go ahead and sent me the JD and other links, etc to fill in and apply for the job. Mind you, I hadn't applied for the job. 🥲 It just was a pretty sour conversation which had left me in an uncertain situation. Any similar experiences?

Layoffs ke Dar se ke 2 Interviews Die The for the Role of FullStack Developer. 1 was a Unicorn Indian Startup Mein and Ek in a Small Service Based Company Interviews at the Service Based Company went well and they offered me 10 LPA. Mai Almost Certain tha ki Startup ka Offer aajaega and their budget was 15 LPA so I told the Service Based Company that I can join only at 12 LPA. They said they’ll let me know and I said okay. I anyways thought of the SBC as a Backup. Abhi in the Last Week I got to know that I didn’t clear the Startup’s 4th and Final Round and Also Got a Message today from the Recruiter of the SBC that they’ve decided to move on with someone else 🙂 Look How the Turn-Tables 🫡

How many folks here 100% refuse to share last salary and are adant that HR state their budget. How do you guys do it and also has it ever happened that you needed up losing a great opportunity coz of this???
