I have seen folks doing this and haven't gotten caught. They haven't given any doc at all and no pension as it is a contract on abroad company. Don't use your office laptop and you will have to file taxes annually for the money earned through contact.

I have resigned from my current company which is fully remote. They have put me on the bench while I serve notice period and I have nothing to do till my Last Working Day in September. 

I have an offer from a company which is again fully remote. Should I join this new company from August while serving the notice period with  the current company? 

In short, salaries from two companies for the month of August. 

Would there be any short term or long term complications? Tax, PF or anything else?

I had been toiling in my current organization for a good while despite the compensation not being totally fair. Whenever I brought this discussion up with the CEO, he always played the friend card and promised to give me what I deserve once the company raises the next round. He also claimed to have supposedly saved me from the layoffs which was completely in his control in the first place. Now I got a better offer, kind of like a dream offer- one that I well deserve, and have convinced a challenging panel to get. One small concern is that during the initial stages of the application, I lied about how much I was getting paid currently. Now that I actually made it and got the offer, I have to submit the documents. How far are these things taken seriously?

I am facing issue in PF details of previous organisation. 

In EPFO account PF history DOJ should be 2015 but there is mentioned DOJ and DOE both are same due to this 3 companies declined my offer with reason “discrepancies found “ .

Meanwhile I have requested to previous organisation for correction but it’s been 7 days no response.

Please 🙏  I need help if someone have any idea that how it can be resolved it will be really really helpful for me . I am already serving notice period and offer I got is on hold due to this issue .

Any thoughts on career transition from full time at big companies to freelancer? 

I have 5.7 years of exp of FSE. and would like to settle as freelancer in near future. 
I want to experiment this option for 1 year and if not succeeded is it okay to switch back to full time emp? Is it worth taking the risk considering my financial status?

Pros:
Complete wfh.
Direct contact with clients no boss/manager

Cons:
Income will be effected if no project. 
Continuous search for projects. 
Risky. 

Any other pros and cons one can think of pls mention in the comments. I would definitely try this option for atleast one year.

In may22, i get a message from PF that they are auto transferring my previous pf balance to new pf account. Back in 2021, I joined a small company as a fresher with a promised CTC of 3.2 LPA and a 3-year bond. However, after joining, I discovered the actual base pay was only 1.8 LPA, and my monthly salary was just 10,500₹. So, after five months, I broke the bond and joined Accenture. 

Now, almost three years later, the previous company's advocates are sending me notices demanding 3 lakh rupees as bond repayment, and I even received a notice from the civil court yesterday. 

I'm not sure what to do next. 
Do you think this will affect my future job prospects? 

I have records of that company in my PF account, but I don't consider it as part of my work experience. 

Do you think future employers will ask for documentation for all companies listed in my PF records?

Broke Employment Bond: Legal Notice from Previous Employer

I am a 2024 grad. I got to know that my org has 3 month notice period. I have talked with 2-3 seniors, I got to know that they don't let go before 3 months and don't offer buy out. The CTC is not that good also (8.3 LPA).

My background - new IIT CSE, 500+ question on leetcode, knight in leetcode, specialist in codeforces, have projects in go backend, intership in spring boot, sql tech stack. Had to take this offer as I didn't cheat in on campus placement and less companies were visiting my campus. 

My job location is in Chennai, I have done internship there. I do not like the weather there and my org says that I have to go there only. I want to do a early switch(weather+low ctc). Many peeps from WITCH do switch despite having 3 month notice period.

Can someone guide me what to do in this situation. Do I have no other option than staying in this company ? Please enlighten me all software engineers 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Currently working in service sector 4.3yrs of experience and 3.26lpa is my package.
Since I am from bca background they put me in bps (bpo).  Currently working in react project.
Now got selected for a product based company for 8lpa.
In 4.3 years I took 2 years leave without pay for my higher studies and returned back to same organisation.
The problem is I didn't inform this to new organisation.
They have initiated my bgv. Really afraid will they find this out and revoke the offer?
They asked me to submit my pf passbook .
Is it okay to submit my 6 month payslip as it also contains the pf details?

I am about to join a new organization (Org D), and they are currently processing my background verification (BGV). I have a concern regarding this process.

I am currently working for a mid-sized company (Org C), which does not conduct detailed BGVs.

I started my career at Org A in January 2018 as an intern and was converted to a full-time employee in September 2018. During the transition from intern to full-time employee, I briefly joined another company (Org B) for 8 days due to some confusion. This short stint at Org B is visible on my UAN.

I am worried about how this might affect my BGV. However, I do have all the necessary documents from all the organizations I have worked with.

Please advise.
