Govt Job benefits in corporate

Are there any companies which come even close to providing same benefits as govt job? Majority of the people from older generation who were into govt jobs (nearing retirement/retired) have built a decent life for themselves and their kids. They usually retire with a corpus of ~25-50L and have built 1-3 properties over tenure of service on back of cheap loans. Their is an added benefit from pensions in few cases. Not to mention the health benefits, extended leave benefits and a host of other things. Most of them are from education, railways and banks. Just wondering if there are/were companies which offer(ed) such perks and social security at all. Even the VP level employees are not safe in current market.

Nothing is safe , what you will do about 1-3 properties finally your going to die, take risk build something give employment to people be leader not a coward who will do comparison every where and optimism life this will lead to just 2-3 properties and end die
