I have two offers as a fresher:
Startup - 9.6L Fixed
Mid-Sized(Not famous) - 10L Fixed

Both have similar compensation annually.

Which one should I choose? I have experience in Startup and they do really good.

Opinion needed

People in my organization recently went through performance appraisal and like every time, the manager does not reveal employees’ rating. This is most likely a scam as the employees are rated and the ratings are recorded in the system but not revealed. Is it how we have in other organizations? Add your comments.

I joined a new position 4 months ago
After I accepted the offer, multiple sources told me I had left about 6-7L on the table

Yesterday I was going through the company's job site, and the difference between the starting salary and my salary is about 11L

Dead inside would be an understatement 

What can I do? Do I speak with my manager? 
If you were a manager, what would you do?

They obviously hand-twisted me to pay less, but damn so much saved.

I am unable to choose a company to apply for due to its reviews in AmbitionBox, Glassdoor etc. 
 
Even if a company has 4+ out of a 5 in overall review, I am skeptical about it because of the few VERY negative reviews it has. 
 
Can somebody please help me with this confusion? How do I choose a company? 
 
I don't want to work for a very large company like something that has more than 5000 employees. I am ok with working at a seed startup that less than 10 employees too. But, I am seriously concerned about the team culture, salary and growth.

So I am looking out for a new role and the final round of the interview is done.

I am now at the negotiation stage where I do not want to quote a number but want to know the current "Market standard"

Job : Frontend/iOS engineer
YOE : 5, worked in good product companies throughout

The HR person also mentioned that they can pay as much as Adobe salaries.

I have 2 yoe and I have switched into 3 companies. Now, I want to stay in a company for longer period. 

Which are the best companies that have best pay, work life balance, growth, appraisal, promotion, etc.

First round happened in March. 130-140 engg.
Around 40 engg were fired.
Then some silent layoffs happened in different teams like hr. 
Then Few good enggs left the company.
This week another round happened with around 20-25 enggs

Another layoff at the most overvalued unicorn startup.

‘Most overvalued unicorn’ You have any idea how little that narrows it down 😂

Trying to see companies that people here have had the dream to join, but didn’t ultimately work out. Have you now grown over it?

Which company were you obsessed with joining, but never could?

For me it was McKinsey 
 It was the best job out of college, status wise. 
  
 Did well in college and made it to the final shortlist. Was obsessed with it, read books and all about The Firm. 
  
 Then the interviews happened, couldn’t convert. Was a downer.  
  
 But 5 years later, doesn’t matter much. I feel life taught me better things. And my fascination of consulting jobs has changed drastically since :p

How is the company culture and how is the company doing currently ?
Any specific benefits for the employees in India?
